The powers of Council are defined in the Charter and Council is ultimately responsible for ensuring that ICAEW meets the objects set out in the Charter. ICAEW BoardThe board is responsible to council for planning and managing the affairs and business of ICAEW. It does this in accordance with objectives, polices and budgets approved by the council. It is also responsible for resource management and coordinates the work of departments and committees.
ICAEW Regulatory BoardThe ICAEW Regulatory Board (IRB) is responsible for overseeing professional standards activities and the statutory regulatory role of ICAEW.
